Bubble Tea Fundraiser with China Care
We teamed up with NYU China CARE Club by selling bubble tea on campus. Proceeds went towards China Care, a non-profit organization that provides medical, social, and educational programs for orphans with disabilites in China.
Cms x Lotus: Holiday Soirée 2014
In the spirit of the holiday season, we co-hosted with NYU Chinese Mei Society on their annual Christmas Soirée! There were games, prizes, and a lot of amazing Chinese food!
Lunar New Year Bash with Carlyle Court
In honor of Lunar New Year, we organized a Lunar New Year Bash with Carlyle Court. Carlyle was all decked out with festive decorations with food and games!
Lotus Midterm Care Packages
To help our friends through midterms, we prepared midterm care packages filled with snacks and personally delivered to them!
Lotus Bra Drive / Bake Sale
Our goal for the bra drive was to support Free the Girls, a non-profit organization that works to provide jobs for sex trafficking victims by helping them set up small enterprises selling bras. In addition to collecting bras, we sold homemade baked goods, in which proceeds went to Free the Girls. Learn more about the organization here.
Mgc Madness
MGC Madness is an event held during Ally Week, a week where we can engage in a national dialogue about how everyone in and out of school can work to become better allies to members of the LGBT community and to those of minority communities. This event's goal was to promote and showcase our various cultures represented here at NYU. The Lotus girls spent countless hours rehearsing an original dance piece and showcased their talents here!
Lotus x Pi Delta Psi: Spring Festival
We ended spring 2015 with a bang by cohosting Spring Festival with the brothers of Pi Delta Psi. We had so much fun with our watermelon and ramen eating contests, as well as catching up with some NYU alum! For more pictures, click here!
Lotus Halloween Goodie Bags
We satisfied everybody's sugar craving by putting together Halloween goodie bags fillled with candies and a scrumptuous cookie from Momofuku Milk Bar! Check out Momofuku here!
Bake Sale for Sanctuary for Families
For the fall 2015 semester, we decided to focus on one organization as our philantropy. Sanctuary for Families is a New York City- based non-profit organization dedicated to aiding victims of domestic violence and their children. We sold homemade goodies in which proceeds went towards buying giftcards for families. To learn more about the amazing work they do, please click here.
Kimbap Fundraiser
One of our biggest fundraiser of the semester... kimbap! These were so mouthwatering and a huge success! Shoutout to the girls who spent an entire night preparing and waking up at 6am to hand roll them up!
Chipotle Fundraiser
We had the opportunity to partner up with the nearby Chipotle on campus for one of our fundraising events!
Hksa x Lotus: Yuan Yang Making
We collabored with the Hong Kong Student Association for our cultural event where we taught everyone how to make Yuan Yang! Yuan Yang is a popular Hong Kong beverage comprised of milk tea and coffee.
Lotus x Nu Alpha Phi: Sanctuary for Families
We invited Andrea Yeriazarian from Sanctuary for Families to talk to us about healthy relationships among young adults. Andrea specializes in teen and young adult counseling and has been working for the organization for nine years! Thank you to taking time out to talk to us!

Ny Cares: Action Center in Far Rockaway
We travelled all the way to Far Rockaway early on a Sunday morning to help package and pass out food to the Rockaway community.
Ny Cares: New Lots Library in Brooklyn
We had so much fun painting signs at the Brooklyn Public Library- New Lots Branch as part of their Revitalization project!
Ny Cares: Improvement Academy at PS 20q
We spent the day tutoring and getting to know some of the students at PS 20Q in Queens!
Pb&j Sandwiches for the Bowery Mission
We made PB&J sandwiches and delivered them to the Bowery Mission twice, once with Baruch Kappa Phi Lambda, and once with NYU Pi Delta Psi.
Assembling Materials for Sanctuary for Families
We helped Sanctuary for Families address, seal and stamp postcards to send to their donors. We enjoyed learning more about this non-profit organization that provides legal advocacy, counseling, education and other programs to survivors of gender related violence.
Sorting Arts Center in Long Island City
We volunteered at the Sorting Arts Center in Long Island City with NYU Pi Delta Psi. The materials that we were assembling goes out to teachers and non-profit organizations assisting in teaching children. This project is funded by NYC.
